We are seeking a dynamic senior business operations leader to evolve and strategically up-level all aspects of the organization’s daily operations and management of resources including its business systems and software, management and coordination of our physical office space, process improvement, telephone, computer, and other work-related asset management and coordination.


This position will report directly to our CEO.


In this role, you will work across all of the organization's functions to ensure that processes are standardized and streamlined in order to support the work of our Public Policy, HR, Accounting, Business Development/Sales, Partner Success, Communications & Media teams and be a key member of the leadership team to offer recommendations to enhance overall organizational performance and cost management.  You’ll drive a variety of different projects ranging from high-level operational goals to hands-on day-to-day technical operational needs to ensure that SVLG’s priorities and its member companies are effectively supported.   


Key Requirements:


  • Build relationships with everyone and collaborate closely with the executive team and key members of staff to identify needs and develop solutions
  • Develop systems re-architecture for building CRM across the organization and integrating existing technology applications seamlessly for all staff
  • Think strategically and tactically by assessing where obstacles are appearing and recommending solutions that are both efficient and cost-effective
  • Act as Project Manager on both simple and complex from start to finish.  Proactively deliver timely updates to Executive Team and provide information or training for staff members 
  • Provide overall management and direction to outsourced partners for IT support and outside service providers and coordinate those activities to ensure security and continuity of support
  • Working closely with HR to ensure the efficient on-boarding of new staff members
  • Drive development and maintain content on Employee Portal directly and through staff participation and coordination
  • Lead work to transition to a Hybrid workforce model ensuring systems and tools are in place to ensure consistent and efficient work processes 
  • As our physical office space requirements evolve, ensure that health and safety requirements are attended to 
  • Develop “bring-your-own-device” policies as part of that transition. Manage the in-office details as our office transitions from a physical space to a hybrid work model and all that entails

 

Qualifications and Experience: 


  • BS/BS with a minimum of 8-10 years of hands-on experience in small to medium-sized organizations
  • Great collaboration skills; comfort with ambiguity and change
  • Experience managing budgets and business demands simultaneously looking for opportunities to streamline and simplify.
  • May manage Accounting staff depending on background and experience
  • Excellent writing and communications skills are essential.
  • Must be comfortable interfacing directly with all levels of member company structure, from CEOs to policy committee participants.
  • Working knowledge and experience in word processing and spreadsheet functions are required. We currently use:  Salesforce, Microsoft products, Salesforce (CRM), G-Suite, and QuickBooks.
  • Excellent technical proficiency and expertise with IT system implementation and architecture including Salesforce
  • Because of the location of our office and most staff, member company representatives, and in-person events, the preferred candidate will be based in the SF Bay Area
